Rakesh Rai is a Cloud Architect at The World Bank with over 17 years of relevant experience in developing large-scale enterprise healthcare applications and data integrations. He has specialized in designing architecture and handling integration/interoperability type applications, EHRs, laboratory integrations, pharmacy connectivity and developing components of Hospital Information Systems. Rakesh is proficient in standards and protocols of interoperability in the areas of HIE, EHR/EMR like IHE, HL7 2.x, C-CDA, ITI, Sure-script, Care-Quality Integration, Meaningful Use stages, FHIR (R4, DSTU), Immunization Registry. He is also experienced in designing and developing applications with on-premise setups and cloud setups like Azure/AWS. Rakesh has expertise with multiple integration engines for Data Integration work like Mirth Connect, Iguana and Custom Integration tool. He is currently working as a Cloud Architect at The World Bank where he is responsible for handling and enhancing cloud software environment setup like AWS and Azure. In his previous role as a Technical Architect at Perficient, Rakesh led a 3-member team for developing a large-scale enterprise healthcare application. He established connectivity between Dignityhealth and Cerner using FHIR patient resources for SSO feature. He also analyzed deep Application Insights in Azure related to identifying performance matrix. Rakesh followed all SAFe agile process and later Kanban process model to accomplish user story completion till “definition of done”. At ADP, Rakesh worked as a Lead Application Developer where he led a 5-member team for understanding the salary processing code for India and Singapore region. He developed interactive web applications using ASP .Net, MVC, and Entity Framework. He also developed WPF, ASP. Net and bootstrap based web applications for UI development. Rakesh is proficient in a wide range of technologies including Azure, Integration, AWS, SQL, Web, AngularJS, Selenium, CI/CD, test, Redis, DevOps, Frontend, UI, and Javascript.
