Rakesh Vakulaabharanam is a Senior Lead Engineer at Qualcomm with a passion for designing and building new Embedded/IoT/Smart products/systems from scratch. With 9+ years of experience in Embedded System/Platform, Kernel, Bootloaders/UEFI/Uboot, Board Support Packages(BSP), Applications and Device Drivers design, development and debugging in bringing up Linux systems/products based on x86 and ARM CPU architecture, Rakesh is an expert in his field. At Qualcomm, Rakesh is responsible for Bootloader/UEFI/BIOS Design & Development, pre and post silicon validation and bring-up of new Mobile, Automotive & IoT chipsets. Prior to his current role, Rakesh worked at Cisco and Juniper Networks as an Embedded Software Engineer (Platform Developer Embedded Linux) where he built new 5G Access Routers and worked on the design and development of Linux-based Optical PHY Device Drivers and Board Support Packages(BSP) for new products. Rakesh holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from cvr college of engineering, Hyderabad. He also completed his 11th & 12th from Sri Chaitanya Jr College, Gudavalli, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and LKG to 10th from Thapar Vidya Vihar, Warangal, Telangana. Rakesh has a diverse set of technical skills including Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Mobile, test, and Integration. With almost 10 years of relevant experience, Rakesh is a seasoned professional who is committed to bringing his expertise to the table in any project he undertakes.
