Rakesh Vivekanandan is a highly skilled Graduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University with a specialization in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. With a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in progress, Rakesh is a Research Scientist with 1.60 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, Rakesh is working on conducting research into autonomous underwater docking of marine vehicles with wave energy converters under various ocean conditions. He is also developing a path planner for autonomous AUV inspection using OMPL. As a Graduate Research Assistant, Rakesh is dedicated to exploring and developing new technologies that can have a positive impact on the world. Prior to his current role, Rakesh worked as a ROS Developer at Accio and as a Project Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology. In these positions, he gained valuable experience in robotics and automation, which he has brought to his current research work. Rakesh has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from SSN College of Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Oregon State University.
