Rakhil Immidisetti is an accomplished Machine Learning Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. He has a strong background in Computer Vision, GAN, and Research Science, and has been working in the field for over 2.68 years. Currently, he is working at Blue River Technology, where he is responsible for developing and implementing machine learning algorithms for various computer vision applications. Before joining Blue River Technology, Rakhil worked as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, where he completed his Master's Thesis at the Vision and Image Understanding Lab. During his time there, he introduced the task of thermal-to-visible face verification from low-resolution (LR) thermal images for handling LR images in surveillance systems. He proposed a transformer-based conditional GAN for synthesizing high-resolution visible images for matching, which was accepted in the International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB) 2021. Prior to that, Rakhil worked as a Vision Systems Intern at SRI International, where he developed a Structure from Motion (SfM) learning pipeline using deep networks for predicting dense depth, ego-motion, and moving object segmentation in fast-moving scenes using a stream of asynchronous events from an Event camera. He also trained the ego-motion network using self-supervision by inverse warping adjacent frames using predicted optical flow. Rakhil completed his Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati in 2017 and his Master of Science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering in 2021. He is highly skilled in ML, Computer Vision, GAN, and Research Science, and is always looking for new and innovative ways to apply his knowledge and skills to solve complex problems.
