Rakshak R. Hegde is a professional Android developer, author, public speaker, mentor, and early adopter with over 7 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Product Engineer at Gojek Tech, where he has portrayed his leadership skills by making critical architecture and design decisions at the start of the project. He is an expert in Kotlin, Espresso (UI) & Unit Testing, RxJava, DI with Dagger 2, Databinding, Firebase, and has worked on crucial Open Source projects to make it work for company’s custom needs. Rakshak has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University and has completed an Android Developer Nanodegree from Udacity. He also has a strong educational background in Physics, Chem, Math, and Bio from St. Joseph's High School. Apart from his technical skills, Rakshak is also proficient in DevOps, Linux, Command Line, AWS, Git, Gitlab, Docker (Microservice Architecture), DigitalOcean, and has Android Continuous Integration (CI) setup knowledge. He is always up to date with the latest technologies, which is essential for early-stage startups. At Gojek Tech, Rakshak has designed and developed Android apps from scratch using Kotlin. He has also mentored his colleagues on Effective Testing, App Architecture, Kotlin, and many others. Prior to Gojek, he worked as a Software Consultant at Uncommon and as an App Developer at Instavans, where he designed and developed another core business Instavans Shipper App from scratch in Kotlin.
