Raman Balyan is a seasoned DevOps Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the IT industry. He is currently working as a Senior Architect for amex, where he is responsible for creating CI/CD pipelines with multiple stages, containerizing microservices, and automating operations workflows using serverless. Previously, Raman worked as a Cloud Engineer for Acquia, where he helped in rolling out the Kubernetes infrastructure using Amazon EKS and provided customized Jenkins as a service on Kubernetes cluster. He also migrated their legacy monitoring and developed tools and microservices to optimize operations workflow. Raman is proficient in a range of technologies, including Python, Go, DevOps, Cloud Computing, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Serverless, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps. He has a passion for learning and exploring new things, both within and outside of his field. When he is not working, Raman enjoys traveling with his wife, practicing yoga, reading books, and learning about the world. Raman started his career as a Freelance Web Application Developer, where he worked mainly in Django, Flask, and JavaScript frameworks like MeteorJS. He has created a number of working prototypes for various clients and was part of building full-fledged applications too. Some of his prominent projects include working on the integration of various Global Distribution Systems for hotels, building a complete CMS for www.earthsbest.com, and adding extra functionalities in the merchant application of www.cfna.com. Raman holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication from United College of Engineering & Research. He also completed his Class 12 from Blue Bells Model School and Class 10 from St. Michael's Sr. Sec. School.
