Raman Bansal is an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in low latency, distributed trading systems. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from IIT Indore and has also completed the EPGM program from IIM Calcutta. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer III at Google, where he is building a product to scale delivery of personalized communications and experiences to users across channels with zero code for publishers. He has already handled million+ personalized communications in the first minimum viable product launch and is collaborating across offices in the US, Germany, Zurich, and Bangalore. Before joining Google, Raman worked at Arcesium as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer, where he built the trading system for D.E. Shaw. The system enables D.E. Shaw to trade more than 70 billion dollars across asset classes and across countries. He received the highest rating - “Outstanding” in the annual performance review of the years 2019-2021. He also understood the billion-dollar currency future business and set product requirements for the trading system. D.E. Shaw is among the very few hedge funds who were able to secure permissions to launch an Onshore China fund. Raman worked through many complex regulations for US Hedge Funds in the Chinese market. Raman is skilled in Java, Data Structures, and Algorithms. He is also proficient in Computer Vision, CNN, Research Scientist, and Web technologies.
