Raman Baskaran is a Lead Software Engineer at SAP Labs India with over 11 years of experience in the software industry. He has a strong background in Java development, particularly in the finance and gaming domains. Raman has worked on several developmental projects, including JSP, DHTML/HTML, XML, Spring, and Hibernate. He is also an expert in Oracle and SQL. Raman holds a Master's degree in Software Systems from BITS Pilani and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Crescent Engineering College, affiliated to Anna University. He was awarded the 31st state rank among approximately 11,000 students in university level with a silver medal. Raman has published three international technical papers and one journal, and was awarded second prize for one of his international papers for "Best paper and presentation." Prior to joining SAP, Raman worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Visa, where he was involved in enrolling new merchants and managing their profiles for real-time payments. He also worked on projects such as VISA Checkout and VTS, which provide more security and reduce risk in payments. Raman has also worked as a Software Analyst at Bally, where he developed logic for slot machines and processed jackpots.
