Raman Gupta is a highly analytical, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual with a passion for learning and improvement. He is currently working as a Senior Computer Scientist in the marketing cloud data platform at Adobe Systems, where he specializes in distributed and scalable systems, cloud computing, high availability, and video advertising technology. Raman is also well-versed in Docker, Mesos, Marathon, Zookeeper, RESTful APIs, and video ad decisioning and serving. Raman has extensive experience in building highly scalable and fully managed orchestration services on top of Apache Airflow. He is also a contributor to Apache Airflow, a platform to programmatically author, schedule, and monitor workflows. Raman has a wealth of knowledge in programmatic advertising and video streaming, making him an expert in his field. Currently, Raman is working as a Principal Software Development Engineer at Gigamon, where he is responsible for building multi-tenant compute platforms that enable users to run their short-lived jobs like distributed big data (Spark, Hadoop) and long-lived services like web services using an easy-to-use interface. He uses open-source technology like Mesos, Marathon, and Chronos to solve problems of resource isolation, autoscaling, reporting, scalability, service discovery, debugging, and logging. Raman holds a Master of Business Administration from Sunstone Business School and a Master of Computer Science and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Delhi University and Barkatullah University, respectively. He is skilled in software engineering, Apache Airflow, Docker, research science, web, Spark, Big Data, and Hadoop. With 6.60 years of relevant experience, Raman is a valuable asset to any team.
