Raman Pandey is a Senior Software Developer at BookMyShow with a passion for computer programming and a keen interest in development and learning. With over 6.87 years of relevant experience, he has expertise in designing, developing, debugging, deploying, and monitoring applications. Raman's primary areas of interest include solving algorithmic problems, exploring new technologies, and developing interactive applications. He is active on Github, Hacker Earth, and Stack Overflow, where he shares his knowledge and expertise with the community. At BookMyShow, Raman has developed the entire in-house backend infrastructure for the BMS OTT platform (BMS Stream) for TVOD. He has worked on different edge cases of content smooth playback on a variety of devices and designed a system for 4K content security along with playback with HDCP restrictions. Raman has also developed Golang libraries for DASH and HLS manifest files customization to add additional content required for seamless content playback on any device and support for backward compatibility. Prior to his current role, Raman worked as a Software Engineer at BookMyShow, where he was responsible for API development (REST and gRPCS) and integration with other verticals and systems. He has also worked at Philips as a Full Stack Developer, where he developed conversational chatbots using Websockets and Google Dialogflow and integrated them with a survey application. Raman holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Information Technology from u.i.e.t.-c.s.j.m.u. and completed his schooling from j.n.v.m. inter college, vikas nagar knapur. In addition to his technical skills, Raman has experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, Spring, MSSQL, Elastic Search, Ansible, NodeJS, Microservices, RabbitMQ, MySQL, Flask, Python, Spring Boot, iOS, DevOps, and Web.
