Ramana Chandavarapu is a seasoned software consultant at Careator Technologies with over 20 years of experience in product development. He has worked in various product companies across multiple geographies in various offshore/offsite/onsite/OPD/GDC models. Ramana has experience in being a startup founder to working in well-established product MNC in various functions such as product development, management, program, and general management. As a leader, Ramana has a track record of setting up offshore development centers in India for a product startup and managed entire operations, including developing go-to-market strategies for India customers. He is a technical engineering manager who transitioned various products from the US to India centers and managed the roadmap for these products from growth to maturity to sunset. Ramana is also a seasoned project manager with extensive expertise in leading large-scale projects, programs with outstanding project planning, execution, monitoring, and resource balancing skills with the ability to support multiple simultaneous projects in a matrix organizational structure. Ramana is an effective leader and communicator with strong interpersonal leadership and relationship management skills who excels at communicating with stakeholders to provide accurate reporting and information regarding the ongoing projects, risks, and initiatives. He specializes in product development, project & product management, people management, business operations management, project setup and stabilization, offshore/multi-shore development, and organization change management. Ramana has also completed a MOOC at Coursera on Functional Programming and its benefits. He did an 8-week course in Scala, the emerging language in the Distributed and High-computing space offered by the founder of the language himself - Dr. Martin Odersky and passed the course with Distinction. He believes that this style of programming is a very different paradigm that is very hard to wrap one's head around but once it becomes a habit, it is extremely powerful. Ramana has worked in various companies in the past, including Crewfoundry, where he was the Head of Product Development, and Raksan, where he was the Chief Enterprise Architect. Ramana holds a degree in MS in Computer Science from The University of Texas and EGMP in Business Administration from IIM. In addition, Ramana's tech stack includes product manager, senior software engineer, Scala, and blockchain.
