Ramnandan Krishnamurthy is a cross-functional tech operator with over 6 years of experience across product management, growth, and strategy. He has worked in unique and out-of-the-box roles at Microsoft in both the US and India. Ramnandan has a strong passion for solving problems catering to e-commerce demand generation for brands and audience monetization for creators. His passion stemmed from working closely with brands and small-to-medium businesses as part of ONDC initiative and understanding the challenges faced. Ramnandan has a 5-year bachelor's and master's degree in Computer Science from IIT-Madras, with a research focus in deep reinforcement learning. He graduated top of his 2016 batch. Before joining Microsoft, Ramnandan co-founded an AI-driven passive recruitment-tech startup in India, which was eventually acquired by ANSR, a publicly listed Indian company. Currently, Ramnandan is taking time to understand and navigate the idea maze across a few hypotheses at the intersection of e-commerce x marketing x creators. He is also a volunteer at open network for digital commerce, where he is helping design and architect some of the network infrastructure modules needed to bootstrap a population-scale open network for decentralized commerce, such as a portable reputation management system to allow for interoperability across commerce platforms. In his previous role at Microsoft, Ramnandan was responsible for building strategy and designing Microsoft’s role in empowering the next billion users in India. He was a senior manager in strategic incubations, Azure Data & Analytics, where he was responsible for incubating cross-product strategic initiatives across the Azure Data ecosystem of products and partnerships. One of his key highlights was driving the launch of 'Azure Synapse Link,' the first native HTAP analytics-as-a-service across public clouds. Ramnandan has a strong interest in collaborating with startups and is excited by the startup ecosystem across India and the US. He welcomes cold DMs from anyone who thinks he can help.
