Ranita Ghosh is an experienced educator and curriculum specialist with a passion for improving the education system. With over 3 years of experience teaching in public and private schools serving underserved communities in Mumbai and Delhi, Ranita has dedicated herself to the holistic development of students at grassroot levels. In addition to teaching, she has also been involved in curriculum development and teacher training projects in these contexts. Currently working as a Content Developer and Reviewer at uolo, Ranita is responsible for creating content and assessments aligned with the curricular frameworks, pedagogical guidelines, and NCERT learning outcomes for K-8. She also reviews content and assessments for K-8 and trains new developers, guiding them through the product creation process. Prior to joining uolo, Ranita worked as a teacher at educoindia, where she planned and taught Social Science lessons to 124 students across grades 9 and 10. She also assisted grade 10 graduates with career counselling through partnerships with multiple NGOs and colleges. As a Fellow at Teach For India, Ranita planned and taught English and Social Science lessons to 70 students across grades 9 and 10 at a Municipal school in a low-income community in Mumbai. She used both quantitative and qualitative data to craft differentiated lesson plans and long-term plans, resulting in a 100% pass rate for her students in the SSC Board exams in 2020 and 2021. Ranita has a PG Diploma in Mass Communication from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sardar Patel College of Communication and Management, a B.A. (Hons.) in English from Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, and a Bachelor's (Visharad Poorna) in Indian Classical Music (Vocal) from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. With almost 5 years of relevant experience, Ranita is a skilled educator and curriculum specialist who is passionate about developing curriculum to build critical thinking among students, crafting educational assessments that are student-centered and holistic, and empowering teachers to reach their full potential.
