Ranjan Kumar is a highly experienced Data Scientist with over 5 years of experience in the Analytics and Consulting field. He holds a B.S-M.S Dual degree in Mathematics and Scientific Computing, with a minor in MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Currently, Ranjan is working as a Senior Manager with EXL consulting, where he oversees a team of 5-6 Data Analysts and Consultants and ensures that all project deliverables and insights are delivered accurately and in a timely manner. Prior to his current role, Ranjan worked as a Data Science Consultant with Accenture for 4 years, where he gained extensive experience in handling large datasets, data extraction, data clean-up, data consolidation, data validation, data processing, and feature engineering. As a part of the Accenture Applied Intelligence team, he also worked on building multiple R Shiny Visualization dashboard tools to perform optimization, base anomaly detection, monthly dynamic business insights comparison dashboard, etc. Ranjan's technical expertise includes Python, R, SQL, and he has worked on various AI techniques such as Random Forest, Adaboost, ANN & DNN, NLP, Market Mix Modelling & Optimization, Bayesian Belief Network, LASSO & Ridge Regression, KNN, Simulated Annealing, Recursive Feature Elimination, etc. He has also worked extensively in the ML-based Marketing ROI project for a major Telecom service provider, where cutting-edge machine learning techniques are used to build Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) models to estimate ROI for campaigns at a very granular level. Ranjan's industry and domain knowledge include Marketing Analytics, Telecom, Sports Analytics, and Retail sectors. He has also worked as an Analytics Manager with EXL in the past. In his free time, Ranjan enjoys researching and exploring new technologies and tools related to Data Science and Analytics.
