Ranjith S is a power electronics enthusiast with a strong interest in the tech universe as a whole. With close to four years of experience, he has extensively worked on modelling converters and designing control transfer functions, stability analysis, and implementation of the same in the digital domain. He has worked on a 500KVA single-phase line converter cascaded to a three-phase inverter for railway applications and successfully designed the closed-loop unity power factor control of the line converter and closed-loop voltage control of the inverter. Ranjith has experience working with fixed-point and floating-point microcontrollers such as LM4 series, TM4 series, and TMS320 series. He also has experience in component value selection of LC and LCL filters for the converter and has been able to perform back to back heat run tests of the converter. He has a sound understanding of inductor design, different power electronics topologies, DC link capacitor selection, and more. Currently working as a Staff Engineer at Nexgen Power Systems, Ranjith is focused on developing GaN-based high-frequency converters. He has previously worked as a Senior Engineer at Delta Electronics, where he worked on developing high-power converters with a focus on designing closed-loop algorithms, converter modelling, stability analysis, worst-case operation study, and more. Ranjith holds a Master of Technology degree in Power Electronics from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, where he actively participated in the initial stage design of a 100KVA Statcom. He has also completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. Ranjith is skilled in GAN and test technologies and is always looking to expand his knowledge and skills in the field of power electronics.
