Rasprit Kaur is a skilled software engineer with over 5 years of experience in frontend development and user experience design. She is currently working at NBCUniversal Media, LLC as a software engineer, where she is responsible for developing and maintaining the company's web applications. Rasprit's passion for coding began during her time as a web consultant at a startup, where she helped create the company's branded site with her designs. During the development phase, she discovered her desire to be part of a team that creates innovative solutions instead of just overseeing their work. This led her to pursue her passion for coding, and she enrolled in the Grace Hopper Program, where she learned to develop with the NERDS stack (Node.js, Express, React, Databases using SQL). Rasprit's favorite thing about software engineering is that it encourages her to push herself out of her comfort zone to learn new frameworks and technologies to strengthen her growing skill-set. In her previous roles, Rasprit worked as a Frontend Developer at Sports Illustrated, where she maintained the frontend of the company's website and contributed to full-stack development for custom content management and delivery platforms. She also worked as a Web Developer at FIG, where she collaborated with designers and other developers on client work such as e-commerce and branded websites. Rasprit has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Manhattan College and completed the Grace Hopper Program at Fullstack Academy of Code. She also attended the High School for Math, Science, and Engineering at City College.
