Ravi Kumar is an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in the information technology and services industry. He has a demonstrated proficiency in Python programming, Django, Javascript, Postgresql, Robot Operating System (ROS), Point Cloud Library (PCL), and analytical skills. Ravi holds an Integrated M.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Cargill, Ravi is responsible for application development for Robotics Industrial Automation. He integrates KUKA Robot, PLC, and CNC machine with one platform and controls them with the application using Python, Ubuntu, and Docker. He also integrates front-end components with back-end using Python on Django framework and works on AWS S3, Athena, and Glue. Ravi has expertise in using Python, Javascript, jQuery, HTTP request, REST APIs, and AJAX for the back-end development. He designs and integrates databases with Django, using sqlalchemy and ORM for making queries as required for the back-end integration with the database. Ravi has also worked on Robotics Vision using ROS and PCL and deep learning techniques for image classification. Prior to his current role, Ravi worked as a Project Engineer at Wipro, where he was responsible for similar application development for Robotics Industrial Automation. He also worked as a Summer Intern at Wipro, where he worked on SLAM Data Analytics in Robotics. His project work included collecting 3D point cloud data using Kinect camera and RGB camera and using COLMAP and MeshLab for 3D reconstruction of point cloud. Ravi's education history includes an Integrated M.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from IIT Roorkee.
