Ravi Shankar is a highly motivated and skilled Quantitative Strategist at Goldman Sachs in Bangalore. He completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, where he also authored an undergraduate research paper on Cloud and Edge computing in collaboration with Dr. Aryabartta Sahu, which is currently in the pipeline for publication. In addition to his academic achievements, Ravi has completed various computer science courses on online platforms and has a keen interest in competitive programming, software development, data sciences, and research projects. He was also a part of the Students' Web Committee throughout his college years and was responsible for developing and managing digital solutions and software projects for various issues and events at IIT Guwahati. Ravi is passionate about Deep/Machine Learning and the recent challenges in Reinforcement Learning. He is also interested in tackling the major hurdles in Cloud and Edge Computing, such as data distribution strategies for the edge servers, incorporating high-performance computing strategies, multi-access edge computing, and its transferability to the real world. Apart from his professional pursuits, Ravi is a die-hard chess fan and spends most of his weekends playing chess games or solving chess puzzles. He is an expert in Research Scientist, Reinforcement Learning, Software Engineer, ML, Web, NoSQL, Elastic Search, and UI. Ravi has previously worked as a summer intern at Oracle in the Intelligent Process Automation and Oracle Digital Assistant Team. He has also worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, where he authored a research paper on Edge Data Distribution with End-To-End Delay Guarantees and another paper on Application Data Distribution in Edge Computing, which is currently in the pipeline for publication.
