Ravina is a highly accomplished professional musician with 10 years of experience in piano teaching to all ages and levels, both in-person and online. She is a specialist in teaching music theory and training other candidates to become piano teachers in the future. Ravina has an extensive research background in pedagogy, and she creates customized courses for students of all age groups, backgrounds, and levels. She is also experienced in teaching piano to differently-abled students. Currently, Ravina is pursuing her Licentiate in Piano Performance and Instrumental Teaching from Trinity College London. She is also researching and writing books on piano education, keeping in mind the social backgrounds of Indian students and working towards an affordable, intricate education for children of the Indian subcontinent. Ravina's current role is Director of Curriculum, LD, Teacher Success at WHJR | Byju’s. She has had a successful run at handling Piano Curriculum and Learning Design for music and has taken on a bigger role in the category to handle Teacher Success. Her current position includes project managing the category at a director level, outlining online curriculum for 1:1 and 1:many, roadmaps for the financial year, ensuring in-class delight through teachers, training SMs to improve renewals and retention, and training teachers, among other responsibilities. Ravina has previously worked as Director of Learning Design Music and Curriculum Director Piano at Whitehat Jr. In these roles, she was responsible for all courses in music at Whitehat Jr and Byjus, launching, ideating, and managing teams to scale up the product. She also developed online curriculum for piano and general musicianship, leading a team of curriculum associates, managers, trainees, and teachers to create a curriculum that would suit the needs of children of all ages and walks of life. Ravina holds a Bachelor of Arts - BA (Hons) in English from Delhi University, a Master of Arts - MA in English Language and Literature from Indira Gandhi National Open University, and is currently pursuing a project management course from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
