Raymond Nehring is a highly motivated and adaptable Full-Stack Software Engineer with experience in a variety of technologies including Javascript, Express, HTML5, CSS3, React/Redux, Python, Flask, and PostgreSQL. After a successful career in law enforcement, he transitioned into web development and attended a 24-week coding bootcamp called App Academy. Since then, he has continued his education and is currently sharpening his React skills with plans to learn GraphQL next. Currently, Raymond is a Software Engineer at American Express, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software applications. Prior to this, he worked as a Junior Instructional Assistant at App Academy, where he assisted students with coursework to ensure they fully understood the current material. Before transitioning into web development, Raymond worked as a Probation Parole Officer at Arkansas Community Corrections. In this role, he completed detailed official court documentation and arrest reports on a strict timeline to provide public safety. He also supervised a monthly caseload of 150+ cases that required the utilization of disciplined time management and prioritization to enforce law and order. Raymond was awarded Officer of the Quarter for taking on multiple roles in different departments due to staff shortage to offset turnover. He cooperated in a close team setting to maximize daily operations in a high-stress environment. Raymond holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Ozarka College and is currently pursuing a Full-Stack Web Development certification from App Academy.
