Rebecca Fitzhugh is a senior technical leader with over 16 years of experience in cloud architecture, continuous integration, infrastructure as code, and APIs. Currently, she serves as a Senior Architect at Atlassian and is a member of the engineering Core Architecture Team (CAT). In this role, she is responsible for defining and driving the overall enterprise PaaS strategic vision and architecture for cloud infrastructure, developer experience, and architectural standards and patterns. Prior to joining Atlassian, Rebecca worked at Rubrik, where she served as the Senior Director of Cloud Architecture and Director of Developer Experience. In these roles, she defined the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the API ecosystem and developer platform, grew and led a team of engineers responsible for developing and maintaining the developer platform and tooling, and built coalitions with partner companies to create unifying API-driven solutions and a community of advocates and open-source contributors. Rebecca is known for her creative solutions and delivering both the “science and art” of strategic enterprise architecture. Her technical expertise includes senior software engineering, DevOps, infra, CI/CD, and integration. She holds a Master of Arts degree in International Business Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics from Penn State University. Overall, Rebecca is an engineering leader with a proven track record of success in cloud architecture and DevOps. She is passionate about driving strategic enterprise architecture and delivering innovative solutions that enable organizations to meet their business objectives.
