Ria Gupta is an accomplished MS in Computer Science student at Columbia University in the City of New York. With over 3 years of relevant experience, she has worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Research India with the Bixby Platform team in the Voice Intelligence R&D group. Ria has also worked at Salesforce as a Software Engineer Intern, where she built an Automated Druid Data Management Pipeline for the Observability Realtime Analytics team. She has experience working on the intersection of Cloud and ML technologies, and has seen how they coexist in highly distributed real-time systems handling millions of users every minute. Ria is proficient in Java, Python, and C++, as well as various cloud technologies like AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes. She is looking forward to exploring roles that help her use and expand her skillset in the domains of Software Development and Engineering. Currently, she is working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Columbia University, where she is responsible for TA for Advanced Software Engineering (COMSW4156) taught by Prof. Gail Kaiser at the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Ria has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Columbia | SIPA, where she was responsible for mentoring students' ML projects, conducting office hours for doubt resolution, and helping students write ML code for AI applications and use-cases. She has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Software Engineering from DTU and has completed her schooling from Delhi Public School. Ria's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Salesforce, ML, AWS, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Research Scientist, GCP, AI, and Java. With her diverse experience and expertise, she is a valuable asset to any organization.
