Ria Verma is a highly skilled Software Engineer with a passion for solving challenging problems in Computer Vision and Robotics. She is currently working at meta as a Software Engineer, where she is responsible for Video Reels Ranking and Recommendations. Ria has a Master's degree in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology, where she also completed her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. During her time at Georgia Tech, she worked as an Independent Study researcher in Image retrieval at Prof. James Hays' lab. Ria has gained valuable experience working as an Engineering Intern at Facebook AI, where she implemented RetinaNet, a state-of-the-art deep learning model used for object detection within Facebook’s next generation computer vision platform, Detectron2. She also worked on using outputs from other state-of-the-art vision models to make better visualizations. Prior to that, she has interned at Google as well. Ria's technical skills include Software Engineering, AI, Research Scientist, ML, Computer Vision, Object detection, Object Detection, Deep Learning, and Pytorch. She has 2.78 years of relevant experience, which has given her a deep understanding of the field and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
