Riley Westbrook is the co-founder of Valor Coffee and a licensed Q Arabica Grader. He started Valor Coffee in 2016 with his friends, with the vision of creating a coffee company that delivers both excellent products and empathy-driven service. He managed one of the highest volume specialty shops in Atlanta, where he gained invaluable ideas on how to better a guest experience. In January 2018, he began his full-time career with Valor, running their operations via pop-up format within a co-working space. By the end of 2018, they had begun their roasting operation. In February 2019, Riley completed his exams to become a licensed Q Arabica Grader, which is a globally recognized certification for coffee quality. In August of the same year, Valor opened their first cafe in downtown Alpharetta, adding a staff of six employees to the three existing owners. Riley handles all back-end operations at Valor, including bookkeeping, budgeting, marketing, social media strategy, and overseeing a roasting team. He prides himself on being an expert in intentional hospitality and collaborating on systems that give guests the best service experience they can find. He is also adept in maintaining and growing a brand that is lucrative, influential, and fun. Before Valor, Riley worked as a Front End Developer for freelance projects and as a Lead Barista/Shift Manager for Chrome Yellow Trading Co. He pursued a Full Stack Web Development degree from Bloc in 2017-2018. Riley has relevant experience of 5.78 years and is skilled in Frontend, Backend, and Mobile technologies. In 2020, Valor will open their flagship roasting facility in Roswell, Georgia, followed by a second cafe within the Atlanta perimeter in 2021.
