Currently working as an Investment Analyst at Sequoia Capital, Rishen is responsible for learning with early-stage companies and building Surge, a rapid scale-up program for startups in India and SEA. Surge combines $1-2 million of seed capital with company-building workshops, global immersion trips, and support from a community of exceptional founders. His goal is to supercharge startups and give them an unfair advantage, right out of the gate. Prior to his current position, Rishen worked as an Investment Analyst at Surge and as a Product Management Consultant at Sellics, where he built products for the fastest-growing advertising platform in the world, Amazon. His experience in product management has given him a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends, which he brings to his current role. Rishen holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Technology Marketing and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Chemical Engineering from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). He is a product manager with a strong tech stack and has a passion for building innovative products that solve real-world problems.
