Rishi Kumar is a passionate and business-oriented technology leader with over 16 years of experience in designing, building, testing, and deploying cutting-edge solutions at scale. He is currently the Director of Engineering at Kristal.AI, where he is building a world-class digital global wealth management platform and leveraging SAAS technology with multi-tenant architecture to provide the same platform to multiple channel partners with zero trust security and data localization. He is heavily focused on global investment by integrating with multiple service providers across the globe like Interactive Broker, Saxo, all-funds, Leon-tech, DBS, etc. Rishi has extensive experience in leading engineering verticals for startups and big organizations. He has expertise in building lean and high-performance engineering teams from scratch. He introduced and implemented the open API concept so that anyone can leverage existing services to build their platform without worrying too much about their internal implementation. He has also managed technology risk, security audit, and technology compliance. Rishi has built payment gateways for high volume and scale with native integration with multiple banks and a unified payment gateway (UPI). He has built one of the most highly reliable low latency multi-lingual equity trading platforms, which is used by approximately 5 Lac customers (3 Lac active customers/day), generating $15 million of revenue yearly across India and has an annual revenue growth of more than 100% consistently. Rishi is a believer in the right culture and efficient processes. He manages and mentors high-caliber R&D technology teams to continuously deliver solutions to complex software engineering/business problems. He has core technical skills, including engineering leadership, cross-functional collaboration, system design and architecture, product engineering, distributed systems, micro-services, cloud-native architecture, and reliability engineering. Rishi has worked with early/mid-stage startups building products at scale. He has worked with Capgemini as a Senior Consultant and Edelweiss Wealth Management as a Vice President of Engineering. He has extensive experience in setting up an engineering center from scratch, building high-performance engineering culture and teams, as well as handling product and technology transition. Rishi holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering, a Master of Business Administration (MBA)- Executive in Accounting and Finance, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Leeds.
