Rishikant Singh is a highly experienced Vice President at Morgan Stanley with over 16 years of relevant experience in the field of data platforms. He is an expert in making sense of data and has a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Jalandhar. Rishikant specializes in big data, enterprise search, structured/unstructured data, batch/streaming processing patterns on premise/on cloud. He has a strong background in Apache Solr, Lucidworks Fusion, Kafka, Spark, and NoSQL. As the Lead for Wealth Management, Rishikant owns and manages the Center of Excellence portfolio for Data platforms, with a focus on big data, search engines, graph databases, document database, adhoc querying, streaming technologies, NoSQL, MPP databases, and Spark. In his previous roles at Morgan Stanley, Rishikant served as a Senior Manager and Dev Lead for Wealth Management - Analytics, Intelligence and Data Technologies division. He was responsible for designing and developing internal applications used by the Financial Advisors of the firm. Additionally, he played a crucial role in setting up Hadoop and using historical data to build a recommendation engine. Rishikant is a skilled problem solver and is responsible for answering complex queries related to Solr, QPS, indexing rate, Zookeeper ensemble, hardware expansion, version upgrade plans, cluster stability, and guidelines around antipatterns. Rishikant holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. He also attended Kendriya Vidyalaya Dimapur and Sainik School Goalpara. His technical skills include Spark, Big Data, NoSQL, Kafka, Search, Senior Software Engineer, and Hadoop.
