Rishikesh Maurya is a senior backend engineer with over 7 years of experience in the software industry. He has worked in various domains including telecommunication, investment banking, and e-commerce. Currently, he is working as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Expedia. Rishikesh has a strong background in backend development, integration, and testing. He has expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Apache Storm, Redis, MongoDB, Docker, Kafka, Python, Golang, RabbitMQ, and Elastic Search. He is also experienced in REST APIs, GraphQL, and A/B testing. Previously, Rishikesh worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Myntra where he led the development of several recommendation features including Shoppablelook and Looks. He was responsible for tech design, end-to-end development, integration with different source systems, data persistence, testing, deployment, monitoring, and A/B support. He improved system P99 response time from earlier 120ms to within 60ms, scaled for HRD, and enabled support for personalization and running multiple A/B tests. He also mentored new hires, college freshers, and interns. Prior to Myntra, Rishikesh worked as a Software Analyst at Goldman Sachs where he architectured, designed, and developed an end-to-end web-based core platform for the compliance division to monitor and resolve risks associated with any activity happening in the firm. He used Rest services, Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Elastic Search, RabbitMQ, react/redux, and Javascript. Rishikesh holds an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science from NIT Jamshedpur and completed his high school from the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Allahabad Uttar Pradesh.
