Ritam Gupta is a final year undergraduate student majoring in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering at the LNM Institute of Information Technology. He is an RF & Microwave Engineer, Antenna Designer, IoT and Embedded Systems enthusiast, and an IEEE member. Currently, Ritam is working as an Antenna Design Research Intern at his university where he is responsible for designing an antenna and studying its parameters. He applies various methods to increase gain, bandwidth, and compactness of the antenna. He designed a frequency reconfigurable antenna that can switch between four frequency bands (2.16 GHz, 2.88 GHz, 5.27 GHz, 5.45 GHz) during his internship. The antenna was simulated, fabricated and tested on VNA, and the results were analyzed and concluded for publication. Previously, Ritam worked as an Embedded System Engineer Intern at Swachh Bharat Mission where he developed smart bins that were connected to a coordinator node through a tree network. These bins could detect and send the level of garbage filled in dustbins to the coordinator node wirelessly, and the data was transmitted to the office for necessary actions. He also worked on a project for irrigation that got All India 3rd prize in Best Innovation Award at Chatra Vishwakarma Awards organized by AICTE. In this project, he utilized hi-tech engineering solutions for irrigation and proposed a solution focused on more crop per drop of water. Ritam is a skilled Research Scientist and Designer with 3.86 years of relevant experience. He has a strong technical background and expertise in various technologies. He is passionate about his work and always strives to learn and grow in his field.
