Ritam Majumdar is an AI enthusiast with a passion for Mathematics and its application in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Natural Language Processing. He is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, where he majored in Chemical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics. Currently working as an Associate Software Developer at BNY Mellon, Ritam has gained over 2 years of relevant experience in the field of AI. Prior to his current role, he worked as an Artificial Intelligence Researcher at UNSW, where he developed Deep Learning models to predict respiratory rates using CNN, Attention, and Hybrid models using ECG and EMG signals. He also conducted experiments for classifying hand and leg gestures in the form of sEMG signals, using Random Forests, Decision Tree, and KNN algorithms. He improved the performance using CNNs, LSTMs, and various Attention mappings for better feature understanding and increased accuracy to 0.985. Ritam has also worked as a Research Intern at TCS, where he built Transformer models using Bert, Roberta, and Albert to solve common sense reasoning tasks over different levels of complexity. He developed Question Answering Systems using similar Transformer ideas to solve elementary school science questions. Ritam's education background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering and a Minor Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. He is skilled in Reinforcement Learning, AI, Deep Learning, Software Engineering, ML, NLP, Research Science, CNN, and BERT. Ritam is committed to exploring the limits of AI and finding applications that can make the human world simpler and more prosperous. He is a dedicated and driven individual who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to any team he works with.
