Ritesh Bhatia is an accomplished Engineering Manager at Hiver, with a passion for building high-performing organizations through great culture. He is an expert in designing and architecting systems that enable Amazon to process millions of transactions daily, through hundreds of payment methods and downstream partners. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Ritesh has built systems that reduced the time for Amazon businesses to launch payment from a few months to a few days. Ritesh is currently leading the platform team at Hiver, which builds the core part of Hiver called sync engine. He is responsible for building the next-gen sync architecture to allow Hiver to scale for the next order of magnitude processing. Ritesh's current interest area is to re-architect Amazon's payments infrastructure to make it highly available and resilient to failures. He leads a team of 8 engineers in building these solutions and extends his influence to sister teams spanning 25+ people. Ritesh's past experience includes working as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, where he designed and architected systems that allow Amazon to process millions of transactions daily. He also led a team of 8 engineers in building solutions that ensure Amazon's payment systems are highly available, resilient to failures, and run at the lowest cost. Ritesh also worked as a Software Development Engineer at Stayzilla, where he worked on Android, Java, Image Processing, and Full-stack web development. Ritesh holds a M.Sc. (Hons) Mathematics degree and a B.E. (Hons) Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. He is proficient in Senior Software Engineering, AWS, Java, Spring, Python, Web, Image Processing, Research Scientist, Big Data, and Data Scientist.
