Riya is a skilled software engineer with expertise in data structures and algorithms. She is proficient in Object-Oriented Programming and Design using Java SE 8, and has a strong understanding of technologies like NodeJS, Express.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MongoDB, C#, .NET, Git and Azure. Currently working at Microsoft as a Software Engineer, she is a part of the Endpoint Configuration Manager foundations team where she is responsible for developing and refining tools exclusive to the team, maintaining the test environment, and making improvements to the build process. Riya has previously worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft, where she was responsible for designing and implementing a distributed caching solution, and offering constrained access to the teams depending on it. She also worked on the functional testing framework to fix and improve the code coverage module. Her tech stack at Microsoft included C#, .NET Core, Azure Storage Services, Autofac, NSubstitute, and Git. In another internship at Microsoft, she worked on the implementation of autoscaling on an Azure Service Fabric Cluster using ARM template. She also did a POC implementation on the integration of alerts generated by Microsoft’s internal monitoring system with Service Fabric’s autoscaling feature for VMSS. Her tech stack for this project included C#, Azure Service Fabric, ARM template, PowerShell, and Git. Riya holds a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology, where she graduated in 2021. She also has a strong academic background, having completed her HSC from Kendriya Vidyalaya, ONGC, Chandkheda in 2017, and her SSC from Delhi Public School, ONGC, Nazira in 2014. She started her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, ONGC, Mehsana in 2004.
