Riya Bakhtiani is a highly motivated and intuitive Software Engineer at Snowflake. With a passion for creating technology that makes the world a better place, she is always on the lookout for new ways to innovate and improve the user experience. Currently working as an Android Developer at M Intellect Global, Riya has developed an Android application called Fruitzindia that allows users to order fruits online with ease. She has also implemented a centralized system using PostgreSQL and ensured global availability using Node.js. In the past, Riya has served as the Chairperson of Matrix, the Technical festival of SPIT, where she organized 23 events, including a 24-hour national level hackathon, paper presentation, exhibition, talks, RoboWars, and more. She has also worked as the Head of Events at the Computer Society of India, where she organized workshops on C, git, GitHub, Python, Backend development, Android app development, and a 24-hour hackathon for 90 participants. Riya holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavans and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computational Science and Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. With a vast range of technical skills, Riya is proficient in Snowflake, Software Engineering, Web development, Research Science, Spark, Scala, Hadoop, ETL, and Apache Hive. She has 2.78 years of relevant experience and is always looking for new challenges to push her limits and take her skills to the next level.
