Riya Madan is a skilled DevOps Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience. Currently working with Airtel Africa, she has a proven track record of developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for code releases and build releases. She possesses hands-on experience in container-based technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, and has a solid background in facilitating and managing merges using SVN and GIT. Riya has spearheaded the entire gamut of software development, from requirement analysis, design, development, implementation, delivery, and troubleshooting. She has experience with AWS EC2, VPC, Route53, ELB, S3, EBS & EFS, and management/monitoring services. Riya is also adept at configuring Maven into the build pipeline for Java code building, managing & handling daily Test builds activities, Smoke testing, and keeping the environments stable. She has end-to-end responsibility for handling a complete release till production, and provides Site Reliability Support across 14 countries of Africa across Airtel Money digital products. Riya is experienced in configuration changes in Git using GitHub & Bitbucket, and has knowledge of JMeter for executing load tests to determine the performance of micro-services. She is also proficient in using JIRA software to support any agile project management methodology. Riya has experience in writing Terraform scripts for AWS cloud provisioning and testing REST API’s using Postman. She is skilled in monitoring using tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Sentry, etc. and is capable of debugging basic software components and identifying code defects for remediation. Riya enables the deployment, support & monitoring of software across test, integration & production environments. Riya Madan holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from Manav Rachna University, with a major in Btech. She has previously worked with Accenture as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer.
