Riya Pannu is an IT enthusiast and a full stack developer based in New Delhi. With a keen interest in the field of artificial intelligence, she has an aptitude for maths and science as well. She is an active contributor to open source projects and wants to use technology to have an impact on the lives of people and deal with real-life problems. Currently, Riya works as an Engineer II at American Express (Amex), where she collaborates with cross-border counterparts in the USA for all projects and works in all three domains - API, modelling, and risk fulfilment platform. She was handpicked to develop and improve mission-critical Fraud Detection models, impacting over 300 million cards in force all over the world. Prior to this, she worked as an Engineer III at Amex, where she collaborated with cross-border counterparts in Mexico and the USA to design, optimize, and develop functionalities for a Mexican accounting software, Quickbooks Online Mexico, impacting 130,000+ consumers. Riya has a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology and a High School Diploma in PCM with Computer Science from Delhi Public School. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which she is expected to complete in 2024. In addition to her academic qualifications, Riya has relevant experience of 2.95 years and possesses a tech stack that includes software engineering, Kubernetes, and mobile development. She has also engineered a Chrome Extension named OneIntuit Plugin and a cross-platform mobile app to create an ecosystem interconnecting all Intuit products to prioritize and improve customer experience.
