Rob Park is a Test-driven, Lean/Agile Architect with a passion for tennis and dogs. With over 13 years of relevant experience, Rob has honed his skills in CI/CD, BDD/TDD, DevOps, AWS, XP, Agile, Lean, and Kanban. Currently, Rob is a Staff Engineer at Embark Veterinary, where he is helping to better understand and communicate dog health and risk for heritable diseases through canine DNA research and software. In his previous role as a Senior Software Engineer, Backend at fi.money, Rob worked on next-generation dog collars, enriching the lives of humans and dogs with data. He utilized TypeScript, AWS, Redshift, Postgres, and other technologies to deliver high-quality software. Prior to that, Rob was a Staff Engineer at Hubhero, where he worked on software delivery using Ruby, Rails, VueJs, TypeScript, Python, AWS, Serverless, and Redshift. He was heavily involved in hands-on work with AWS, especially with serverless services and managed database services. Rob also wrote a lot of code in Ruby (including Rails, Lambda functions, and scripts) and JavaScript. He set up CI/CD through SemaphoreCI and TerraformCloud. Rob has a Bachelor's degree in Computer & Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance, General from Boston University.
