Roberto Lavoie is a highly experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer with over 19 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, he is employed at Globant, where he holds the position of Senior Embedded Software Engineer. In this role, he is responsible for designing and developing software solutions for embedded systems. Roberto has previously worked at Fortas - Worldwise Solutions that Fly and Virtual Avionics, where he held the positions of Software Configuration Engineer and Senior System Software Engineer, respectively. At Fortas, he provided on-site support for the deployment of Full Flight Simulators and was responsible for configuration control, system and product integration, and simulation platform preparation and maintenance. At Virtual Avionics, Roberto designed security systems for API licensing and was the main project interface with major customers such as ITA, Embraer, and Azul Linhas Aéreas. He also developed, integrated, and deployed Linux embedded solutions and performed system integration of complex aircraft simulated systems employing multi-protocol layers. Roberto has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Université du Québec - Ecole de Technologie Supérieure and a DEC in Avionics Technician from École Nationale d’Aérotechnique. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Projects Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas. Roberto's technical skills include software engineering, integration, frontend and backend development.
