Robin Singh is an accomplished optical scientist and researcher with a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and extensive experience in optical engineering, microphotonics, spectroscopy, biosensors, and ultrasound imaging. He is currently working as an Optical Engineer at Apple, where he is involved in the development of display technologies for next-generation iPhones and Apple watches. Robin has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant at MIT, where he collaborated with Dr. Brian Anthony and the Microphotonics Center to develop MEMS-based optical and acoustic sensors for sensing applications in healthcare, imaging, and consumer electronics. His research interests include AI in physical sciences, MEMS/NEMS, sensor fusion, semiconductor technology, and data science. During his time at MIT, Robin designed and established a semi-automated workbench for micro-optical testing, characterization, and packaging of electro-photonic chips. He also led the project to design, fabricate, and test a novel on-chip photonic aerosol spectrometer for in-situ physio-chemical characterization of environmental aerosols. Additionally, he developed and tested SiN-based low loss, energy-efficient acousto-mechano-opto modulators for ultra-wideband data communication networks for the next-generation 5G technology. Robin holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka and a Matriculation/Class 10th degree from Kendriya Vidyalaya. He is proficient in research, AI, testing, image processing, and data science. With 3.12 years of relevant experience, Robin is a highly skilled and motivated researcher who is passionate about developing cutting-edge technologies that can change the world.
