Rocky's experience includes developing a workflow product compiler and runtime to facilitate complex, Turing-complete workflows represented as category theory-centric, purely functional function compositions able to run on any modern FaaS, locally, or even in the browser. He has also co-spearheaded Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) engineering culture shift, helping develop SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, on-call rotations with work/life balance, zero-blame culture, production meetings, postmortem culture, release engineering, SDLC, emergency response playbooks, and more. Rocky has worked at Cloud Elements as a Principal Software Engineer and DevOps Engineer. At Cloud Elements, he developed a Function as a Service platform in 2016 with features that only became publicly available from AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions in late-2018.
