Rohan Gyani is a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft with over 8 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Trade Analyst at Forefront Capital Management where he has developed a product based on Event Arbitrage Strategy. He analyzed the economic rationale, identified relevant data sources, coded in Python to generate download scripts, and cleaned the data to historically test the strategy. The current capacity of the product is around 100 Cr INR with a return of 15-20% p.a. He has also participated in discussions and lecture series on Investment Statistics, CAPM, and Arbitrage Pricing Theory. Rohan attended a training session organized by Bloomberg and received an offer to return as a Full-Time employee. Prior to his current role, Rohan worked as a Research Intern at Technische Universität Braunschweig where he worked on theoretical problems involving the Rote Conjecture on convexity measures for polygons. He also assisted in coming up with a competitive factor-4 algorithm for an online robot navigation problem, halving the competitive factor of the previously best-known algorithm. Rohan also attended a graduate lecture series on Online Algorithms. He has also worked as an SDE Intern at Microsoft where he developed an Instant Mobile Messaging App for a corporate network on the WP8.1 platform. The beta version was demoed to Mr. Satya Nadella, and Rohan received a Pre-Placement offer from MSIDC. Rohan holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) with Honors in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He also holds a Minor Degree in Management from IIT Bombay - Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management. Rohan completed his high school education from Kendriya Vidyalaya and his matriculation from Prakash Higher Secondary School. His tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer.
