Rohan Mehta is an Engineer at L&T with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for thriving under pressure. With over 4 years of experience in the industry, Rohan has developed a reputation for his attention to detail and his ability to take on responsibility roles. Prior to joining L&T, Rohan worked as a Product Engineer at Kohler Co., where he was responsible for engineering activities from product design to product launch. He played a key role in the design and development of sanitary products through part modeling, surfacing, and drawings using PTC Creo 4.0. He also handled design release and data management on the database (PTC Windchill) and was involved in reverse engineering using 3D laser scanning (Faro). Rohan's work at Kohler also involved product qualification and verification with compliance to plumbing standards, cross-functional interactions with manufacturing, sourcing, and marketing, and interacting with various vendors for supplies, development of prototypes, and software requirements. Rohan began his career at Kohler as a Graduate Engineer Trainee, where he underwent detailed orientation on brass/zinc foundry, machining, polishing, buffing, plating, and assembly operations. He improved visual standards in the plating division and updated the design of plant layout using AutoCAD. He also created a matrix for every combination of SKU along with respective plating racks to reduce defects when incompatible combinations are used. Rohan holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Surat. He also completed his schooling at Abu Dhabi Indian School, where he studied Science (CBSE). His tech stack includes infra, software engineering, product design, and test.
