Rohan Pednekar is a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Dell EMC with over 15 years of experience in software development. He has extensive experience in writing data-intensive cloud-native SaaS applications and working with highly distributed applications on AWS, Azure, and Pivotal. Rohan is a polyglot programmer with expertise in C, C++, Golang, Python, and JavaScript over Linux/Unix and Windows. He has worked with PaaS platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Kubernetes (dockers), AWS ECS, and Azure container instance. He has also worked with databases such as Postgres SQL, Cassandra, Elastic(Search), Redis, and MongoDB, and AMQP such as RabbitMQ. Rohan has extensive experience in data protection (backup solutions) with workloads like VMware, AWS, vCloud air, Cassandra, and MSSQL. He has also worked on building disaster recovery as a service and hybrid cloud networking. Rohan has a sound knowledge of cloud networking and is passionate about cutting-edge technologies. Before joining Dell, Rohan worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Veritas and EMC. At EMC, he worked on SaaS application migration from GCE to PCF, building IAM services for cloud applications with OAUTH2, and building disaster recovery as a service for EMC cloud. Rohan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics Engineering from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangali, Maharashtra. He has sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, Data structures, and Algorithms and has experience working with agile methodologies.
