Rohan Rao is a highly accomplished professional with expertise in driving, pipelining, and building machine learning (ML) solutions. With a post-graduate degree in Applied Statistics from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, he is one of only four Quadruple Kaggle Grandmasters in the world. Rohan has extensive experience leading small teams and architecting end-to-end ML-driven solutions. His work has been recognized in various Machine Learning competitions on Kaggle, CrowdAnalytix, and AnalyticsVidhya. He is currently a Senior Data Scientist at h2o, where he is building products in Machine Learning across various industries. Previously, Rohan worked as a Machine Learning Lead at Paytm, where he led the machine learning initiatives and team on various projects. He set up an internal ML framework for building and testing scalable ML models using data of 400-million+ customers. He also architected a comprehensive data and feature engineering pipeline to facilitate EDA and deploy ML modules. Rohan built fraud and risk underwriting models for Paytm Postpaid and other credit products to minimize loss rates. He also worked closely with business, product, and engineering teams to define, productionize, and implement ML solutions. Rohan is not only a successful data scientist but also a 9-time Indian Sudoku Champion and a silver medalist at the Asian Championships. He is a member of Mensa since 2006 and has won several other puzzle championships. With a tech stack that includes ML, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, AI, Spark, Python, Mobile, Javascript, Web, and Software Engineer, Rohan has relevant experience of 8.63 years. His dream project is to make 'Person Of Interest' a reality.
