Rohan Rathi is a highly skilled software developer with expertise in software design, development, and 3D graphics. With over 5 years of experience in the industry, he has contributed extensively to open source organizations and has rapidly acquired the level of dexterity needed for different software development environments. Rohan has a keen interest in computer graphics and has done an internship under a program by Google, where he developed open source software for Blender Foundation. He has also mentored at Google Code-in, guiding students towards open source development. Currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Uber, Rohan is responsible for building the internet at scale. As part of the marketplace platform, he has worked on multiple highly scalable and efficient gateway services, including Uber's Edge Gateway and Push Server, which serve 2+ Million QPS of requests. He has also developed Uber's File Upload & Image Resizer services as part of Edge Platform, scaling it to support over 1 Million uploads per day. Additionally, Rohan has added a new developer testing & reliability framework as part of the fulfillment reliability charter. Rohan's past experience includes working as a Technical Lead and Developer at Blender, where he mentored Hans Goudey's Bevel Custom profiles project and worked on improvements on the Bevel Modifier. The Bevel Modifier is plagued with critical bugs and missing functionality, severely limiting its potential. Rohan is highly proficient in German and has studied it in school for 5 years till B1 level. He is an avid coder and regularly takes part in weekly challenges at Codechef and Codeforces. Rohan has excellent programming skills and technical knowledge, exceptional software design, problem-solving, and debugging skills, and exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
