Rohan Sarnad is a Software Engineer II at AppDynamics (Cisco) with a Masters in Artificial Intelligence from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. He is a highly innovative thinker with extensive experience in programming, cloud environments, containers, and container orchestration. His interests lie in learning about microservices and cloud technologies. Rohan has worked on Java and Spring Boot frameworks, and is skilled in cloud technologies such as AWS (Solutions Architect Associate Certified), Azure SQL, and AKS. He is also an expert in container orchestration using Kubernetes (CKAD certified) and containerization using Docker. At AppDynamics, Rohan has worked on monitoring databases by integrating Database Agent in Kubernetes environments such as EKS and AKS. He has also worked on monitoring Windows node feature in container environments using OSHI library to monitor the hardware-related data in the windows servers. Prior to his current role, Rohan worked as a Software Engineer I at AppDynamics, where he analyzed the working of Machine Agent on AWS Fargate and identified the required parameters for Machine Agent to function in AWS ECS EC2 cluster environments. He also performed Root Cause Analysis on the Machine Agent behavior in case of ECS EC2 cluster environments during Auto-Scaling and Replica usage and identified the solution. Additionally, he designed an AWS multi-service environment using LB, EC2, and RDS, with EC2 consisting of Spring boot application monitored by Java Agent to analyze the behavior of network agent in detecting the network calls in a multi-service environment. Rohan has also worked as a Machine Learning Intern at ISRO, where he worked on ways to use Machine Learning Algorithms in developing Smart Cities in India. Rohan has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Dayananda Sagar University. He is also a graduate of Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Bangalore, and BP Indian Public School.
