Rohit Bansal is a final year Computer Science student at the University of Toronto with a passion for software development. He has experience working in full-stack web development in an Agile environment and is skilled in React, JavaScript, Python, and Java. Rohit is a quick and eager learner with leadership skills, making him an asset to any team. Currently serving as Treasurer at the University of Toronto's New College, Rohit created and managed the budget and approved expenditures for the residence house. He also managed the bank account of the house, demonstrating his financial management skills. Rohit has also gained valuable experience through his past internships. As a Software Development Intern at IT Mines Technology Pvt. Ltd, he designed and created a fully functional, real-time, voice-enabled chatbot for Bank of India. He also integrated BSE voice chatbot with Google Assistant, providing 1500+ active clients with live stock prices, corporate information, and market statistics. Rohit utilized REST APIs for data retrieval, used MongoDB to store data for analytics, and updated codebase (C#) to use version 2 of Google's DialogFlow. Additionally, Rohit was a member of the University of Toronto Aerospace Team's Space Systems team, working on a student-made satellite called Heron Mk II. He worked with a team on remote programming a Raspberry Pi and microcontroller to connect with the satellite. Rohit's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Specialist) from the University of Toronto, which he is expected to complete in 2022. He also holds an Indian Certificate of Secondary Education from Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai. Rohit's tech stack includes software engineering, web development, AWS, big data, JavaScript, Jenkins, Redux, UI, Python, Java, and MongoDB. With 1.77 years of relevant experience, Rohit is a talented software developer with a bright future ahead of him.
