Rohit Dhand is a certified and customer-centric Cloud Data Architect with over two decades of experience in planning and developing line of business applications for various domains, including Insurance, Education, and Healthcare. He has been a part of numerous digital transformation projects and has strong experience in Cloud migrations, Data Architecture, and Solution Architecture best practices. Rohit has worked as a Principal Technical Architect for the development of indigenous award-winning ERP products for a big private university in India. The projects were honored at various prestigious awards, including "Best IT Innovation in Higher Education" at INDIA 3.0 IT Innovation Awards powered by NASSCOM and CNBC TV18 at Mumbai (India) and Punjab Shiksha Ratan Award in Feb, 2013. His meticulous efforts led to the establishment of “VenturePact” (US Based) to provide technology support to the start-up ideas emerging from Wharton School of Business, MIT, Stanford, etc. Currently working as a Cloud Data Architect - Enterprise Solutions, Microsoft (Sr. Manager) at KPMG Canada, Rohit is responsible for designing solutions for Data modernization on Azure Cloud using process orchestrations and moving legacy databases to Azure SQL PaaS. He is also responsible for designing end-to-end data solutions using technologies like ADF, Azure SQL PaaS, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, etc. and helping in RFPs as a subject matter expert for technology implementation and validating solution plans. Rohit's experience also includes working on numerous digital transformation projects for companies like TransCanada, WorkSafeBC, HIBC, PBC, Bombardier, etc. involving on-premise and cloud technologies. He is experienced in Agile/SCRUM methodologies using Azure DevOps, GitHub & CI/CD Pipelines, and designing and writing applications using Nodejs, ASP.NET Core, Dockers, Azure Kubernetes Services, Serverless Computing, Azure DataSpark, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SnowFlake, etc. Furthermore, Rohit is experienced in strategic planning, creating enterprise roadmaps, and advisory services. He is strong in creating architecture for hybrid applications running on-premise and Cloud. He has also provided mentorship and guidance to data platform operations teams to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and technology readiness. Rohit is a certified Cloud Architect with 5x Azure, 2x AWS, and 2x GCP certifications. He has a Master's degree in Computer Applications from MDU
