Rohit Dhar is a seasoned entrepreneur and mentor to startups with over 20 years of experience in the e-commerce, FinTech, and EdTech industries. He has extensive experience in building products from the ground up, including consumer web, mobile apps, and digital platforms. Rohit is an expert in business, product, technology, design, and data strategy, and has led multiple teams of product managers, designers, content creators, data scientists, program managers, and product analytics to create data-driven global technology platforms for education. Rohit has designed products for free and paid tiers, international expansion, managing P&L, video monetization, developing original content, payment and billing infrastructure, OAuth, identity management, account security, and developer and supplier-side tools across web and mobile. He is skilled in creating efficient, sustainable teams that deliver maximum impact while fostering a conducive, collaborative, and fun working environment. Rohit is an expert in ensuring that every team has a specific focus in either user acquisition, activations, retention, and monetization or organizational efficiency. Throughout his career, Rohit has launched several successful products and initiatives, including upGrad New App & website, upGrad Cloud strategy with AWS, OLX e-Commerce “Listing & Product Detailed Pages,” OLX Autos Experience, India’s First Online “UAI” Unified Admission Interface, and PayPal credit products that grew US credit revenue by $5M over three years. He has been recognized for his innovative and impactful work, receiving awards such as “Elevate 100” as 100 Most Innovative Startups out of 1800 Startups by Karnataka State Govt in India and being ranked as a top 15 most innovative product leaders at eBay/PayPal for North America region in 2011. Currently, Rohit serves as a Strategic Advisor at whitelint america inc. and has previously held senior leadership positions at Paytm, Flipkart, PayPal, eBay, and umkc admission office (recruit center), Kansas City, Missouri, USA. Rohit holds an MBA in Computer Information Systems from California State University and a B.Tech in Computer Science from UPTU. His tech stack includes web, AWS, mobile, backend, infra, and product management, and he has 15.87 years of relevant experience.
