Rohit Gupta is an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Android development. With a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from BBD University, Lucknow, he has a strong background in computer software engineering. Rohit has a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry and is skilled in Mobile Application Development, Retrofit, Java, Kotlin, Room DB, MVVM, Coroutines, CI/CD, and Android Studio. Currently, Rohit is working as a Senior Software Engineer at dehaat, where he has been responsible for adding new features, revamping deep-link handling, fragment and activity navigation handling, permission handling, image rendering code, and improving screen rendering by converting majority layouts to a single hierarchy. He has also added A/B testing using Remote Config, In-app updates using Google Play Core SDK, Branch for analytics, and hilt for the complete app. Rohit has migrated the existing database to Room DB, from Java to Kotlin, from Kotlin Synthetics to View Binding, and from AsyncTask to Coroutines. He is also responsible for troubleshooting and fixing critical bugs. Prior to his current role, Rohit worked as a Software Trainee at mountblue, where he focused on Java programming language and learning how to build apps using the Android framework.
