Rohit Haldipur is a highly skilled and experienced Site Reliability Engineer with over 7 years of experience in deploying, tuning, and debugging web applications at scale. He is an aspiring Systems Architect/Production Engineer and has been DIY'ing with opensource technologies. Rohit's tech stack is extensive and includes Linux system administration, Docker, DC/OS, CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Puppet, Logstash, Python, Ruby, Java, React.js, Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, MongoDB, and more. He is always looking to expand his knowledge and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies. During his time at Directi, he implemented a horizontal autoscaler for DC/OS with an in-house orchestrator for provisioning EC2 Spot Fleets. He also enhanced the team’s CI/CD maturity models to include DC/OS as part of the dev loop with auto-reconfiguration of serving proxies to allow flexibility for developers to perform A-B testing. Rohit was responsible for AWS Cloud Cost auditing, reporting, and alerting with custom reservation recommendation engine implemented in Python using ELK stack and EC2 cost API. He also conducted cost analysis exercises to ascertain moving to data centers vs AWS and implemented change management for Jenkins jobs by adopting Pipelines, implemented some shared libraries for common CD pipeline stages (Groovy), migrated old build jobs to use the same. Rohit has a Master of Computer Applications degree from RV College of Engineering and a Bachelor of Computer Applications degree from Acharya Institutes.
